WOMEN'S CEREMONY by JUDY NAPANGARDI WATSON
Kindly donated by Blue Door Gallery
This painting represents the important Women’s Ceremony Dreaming. These ceremonies occur in Judy’s country west of Yuendumu (near Mina Mina) and include women only. The circles in the painting are important ceremonial sites or rockholes and the lines illustrate the travels of women over time. These ceremonies are sacred to the Indigenous people of the Western Desert.
Judy Napangardi Watson is a senior female painter from the Yuendumu community in the Northern Territory. Born c. 1935, she is well known for the distinctive style of painting that she developed alongside her sister Maggie Watson. She is considered one of the most accomplished artists - the combination of vivid colour, richly textured surface and high-level composition has led to widespread appreciation in the art world. Her paintings often describe the Mina Mina country to the west of Yuendumu. Judy has participated in numerous group exhibitions and her work is held in many private, regional and national museum collections.
Judy was voted one of the 50 Most Collectible Artists in the Art Collector magazine Jan - Mar 2009 edition. She is now arguably the most significant living Indigenous artist in Australia.
Blue Door Gallery was established in 2005 and now has galleries in South Melbourne and Albert Park. The gallery specialises in Indigenous art from the Central and Western Deserts of the Northern Territory. Blue Door Gallery Director, Steve Ralph, travels to the NT monthly to visit the artists and their communities and also welcomes them to the galleries in Melbourne often to paint. The galleries offer emerging and investment Indigenous art direct from the artist to the public through an extensive network of personal relationships with the artists and their families.

WHITSUNDAYS WONDER
Kindly donated by Treasury Training Services
Return flights (economy) to Whitsundays on Jetstar for six people to experience the wonderful Whitsundays including 1 x week on the Seawind 1160 Catamaran and rent a yacht.
Get a one week respite from the southern winter next year in Queensland’s fabulous Whitsunday Islands aboard a luxury catamaran. Sail or motor, you can cruise to the many island resorts (Hamilton, Daydream, South Molle, Hayman), explore uninhabited islands, snorkel the reefs, catch a fish, or just relax on board or on a beach. Why not visit Queensland’s most beautiful beach (Whitehaven beach) - and see why?
The catamaran is the award winning Seawind 1160 (11.6 meters or 38 feet). With 3 cabins it comfortably sleeps 6 people but can accommodate 8. It is due to be launched in March 2010 - so you’re guaranteed that it’ll be the latest model.
What’s the key difference between a monohull and a catamaran? Sailing a monohull often involves leaning at 45 degrees - which can result in you getting wet. But you won’t spill your chardy on a catamaran!
The charter will be fully supported by Whitsunday Rent A Yacht - Australia's largest Australian owned yacht rental company. You will receive a comprehensive pre-charter briefing, twice daily radio checks and the ability to contact emergency support day or night. The one week is to be taken in mid-season (1st April to 13th September 2010) and is subject to availability. Transfers, food and drinks are not included. All costs associated with the bareboat charter are included.
Winner of the Australian Sailboat of the Year, the SEAWIND 1160 successfully combines a huge living space with superior sleeping accommodation, luxurious fit out and easy handling. Cabin configuration includes 3 double cabins. The 2 forward cabins offer queen sized beds, 1 with ensuite. Plus a large additional toilet and shower to service the remaining cabins. Surveyed to carry up to 8 holiday makers, the saloon table and seating can be converted to a double bunk. With the latest in rig, equipment and fit out this beautiful catamaran is proving to be one of the most preferred ways to experience bareboat chartering at its best.

n•2 | leader™
Kindly donated by Teamscape
n•2 | leader™ aims to build capability in individuals that hold senior positions or those talented individuals who are being ‘fast-tracked’ for more senior roles. The program blends the necessary skills of management with those of leadership. Leaders often ascend to more senior positions in organisations because of their technical knowledge, however many individuals fail to effectively manage the transition from providing answers to technical solutions to leading at the strategic level.
n•2 | leader™ provides participants with a challenging yet practical learning pathway to more effective leadership. The modules build on each other, moving from Start-Up (a two-day foundation program), to five one-day modules - starting with Communication & Coaching and Performance Management. The program pace and tone then changes markedly, with participants expected to demonstrate new and innovative thinking about the largest challenges they face, with a focus on Change Management, Leading Teams and Executive Leadership. This program is a refreshing change for anyone who is tired of the usual rhetoric surrounding ‘leadership development’.
The program is delivered by a qualified and current airline pilot and by one of Australia’s leading experts on leadership and team development.
